Once again, the fairies have been called to counsel at Fairy Circle under the great Oak tree to help solve a mystery. Everyone is having nightmares, and the fairies have to find a way to make them stop. In the action-packed sequel to Marigold and the Feather of Hope, the Journey Begins, Dragonfly and her friends must travel to the Dream Spider’s cave and ask him to repair the broken Web of Dreams. But is Marigold’s bad dream a presage of future events? Is Dragonfly in danger?
In Dragonfly and the Web of Dreams, young girls will delight in garden gnomes and Brownie pranks; they’ll be left sitting on the edge of their seats meeting trolls and wondering about the mysterious Sandman. And what of Marigold’s premonition concerning Dragonfly and the Dream Spider? Readers won’t be able to turn the pages fast enough!
My daughter and I enjoyed JH Sweet’s first-in-series, and we loved her second story of friendship and perseverance. Sweet’s books are absolutely wonderful and perfect for the blossoming reader. All little girls love fairies and magic, and while my daughter has discovered a new taste for lemon jelly beans, I find myself looking a little more closely in my garden in hopes of seeing Mr. Wimple, the garden gnome.
JH Sweet doesn’t disappoint, and I am positive her next two stories will be just as riveting!
